About Zahrah
This incredibly sweet girl recently came into care after leading a quiet and isolated life on acreage.
Due to this, Zahrah is quite scared of strangers and will bark at them. With her family (foster carer), she is the most sweet, loving, smoochy girl who is super loyal, will follow you around the house and loves a cuddle and snooze along side of you.
Wonderful with other dogs, she loves nothing more than playing for hours with another dog up to the task. She enjoys games of chasies, bitey face (legs, neck or anything really), rumble and tug o war with a toy. She has no agression around sharing toys, food etc and is rather submissive.
When nothing is going on, she can play with a toy by herself or she's happy to snooze the day away at your feet or on a comfy bed. She sleeps beautifully through the night and does wake early, ready to start her day.
Zahrah is ok to be left at home, with another dog, for periods of time. She has good house manners, good recall, walks well on lead and takes direction.
She is a smart girl that would benefit greatly from someone willing to stimulate her brain with some added obedience training, tricks, nose work or place training.
Due to her very limited socialisation with people, Zahrah is wary of people in general, busy environments and things she doesn't understand. Because of this, we are looking for a quieter home, preferably on acres, where she can relax and feel safe in her environment. Her barking at people would need to be worked on with some good confidence building and training, patience and support. She has shown that she will feel comfortable with others given some time to feel safe.
She is not suited to a suburban environment nor an active, adventurous lifestyle as too much activity outside the home will be overwhelming for her.
An experienced home with another playful, friendly and confident dog is required who are happy to accept her quirks and love her all the same. No kids or pocket pets would also be best. She really is such a sweet, lovely girl with those she knows and trusts and is full of character and some puppy sillyness.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
