About Remi
Remi has a secret obsession. It’s the reason he gets up every morning and the last thing he thinks about at night. He thinks about it while he eats, when he goes on walks and even dreams about it every night… Remi is obsessed with people.
People are all Remi cares about; he loves their cuddles and their pats; how they tell him he is a good boy and take him on walks every day. Most dogs love people, but Remi is next level. We think takes the cake for being the biggest people-lover on the planet. Unsurprisingly, Remi’s obsession makes him an incredibly affectionate dog. He’s got the biggest heart and shows his loving and caring nature to everyone he meets.
His daily walks are one big human sniff-fest. He will stick his snout in the air, waiting until the next person comes by so he can sniff and (hopefully) get some pats in return. Remi is a big people pleaser, which makes him very well-behaved. However he needs some encouragement at meal times and does experience some separation anxiety. Slowly Remi is adjusting to being by himself, but ongoing training will be needed. He just misses people so much when they are gone!
Remi is a handsome boy who is filled to the brim with love. His new owners won’t be able to imagine their lives without Remi in their world.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.
