About Nell
*In foster care in Stanmore, Sydney*
Since coming into foster care, sweet Nell has quickly warmed up to the luxuries of indoor life - mainly having a bed to nap on! She has now claimed the foot of the bed to be hers at all times, but is more than happy to share the space with her humans.
Nell loves being picked up, carried around, cuddled and having a belly rub but doesn't have any interest on sitting in laps. Nell is very friendly once she becomes comfortable with the people around her, but is still jumpy at loud noises and can find meeting new people a little stressful, so likes to have a safe spot to hide. But despite her shy nature she is a very curious cat, who now demands to go on several walks a day!
Nell came in to care with her 4 kittens. She has done an amazing job raising her babies and can't wait to find her purrfect home where she gets all the attention!
Like all Maggie's pets, Nell is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I am looking for a settled and stable couple/single person that can spend some quality time with me and let me nap during the day (no share houses). A huge priority would be having access to the outside world - I could spend all day looking out the window, and will even meow to let you know its time for a walk so I require access to a garden. I'm very affectionate but not quite ready to sit on laps. This might change with time, or it might just be who I am!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am quite chilled out and have enjoyed my quiet empty nest since my kittens left! I will occasionally do a mad sprint around the house but will mostly spend my time napping and following you around.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Younger kids are a bit much for me, however older, gentle children who can take me for walks, carry me around and let me nap on their bed will be great.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I am quite interested in other cats - often spending ages staring out the window at the neighbouring cat! I have met one dog so far and really was not a fan at all.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
