About Oscar ~ 17mo Jack Russell X (On Trial 29/11/2020)
Meet the ever so scrumptious Oscar. Oscar is a very happy, very gentle, very playful 17mo male Jack Russell X Maltese.
Oscar jumps up to talk to you in his excitement, it may have been minutes since he has seen you, but he acts like it’s been forever! He will jump up beside you , following you, as you walk along.
Being a super people pooch, Oscar loves you to talk to him, he listens intently, looks in your eyes and nods his head from side to side. He gets on well with other dogs and is very much enjoying living with two labradors, so would love a playful furry friend. Oscar hasn’t been tested with cats or pocket pets, but has learned to not be scared of cows.
Oscar currently lives & sleeps inside with his family, in his humans bed. This is something Oscar is no doubt used to, sleeping with his humans, under the blankets and was not anything encouraged or taught whilst in foster care. But this boy is such a gorgeous creature, I see no problem with his choice of bed continuing. Oscar is house trained with a doggy door. Oscar is learning to walk well on a lead & will benefit from further training.
Due to Oscar's super exciteable nature, he will not suit a home with children under the age of 12. Again due to his age and active requirements, he would also not be suited to elderly people who are unable to exercise and keep him well exercised. He has sometimes be quite boisterous and would suit an active family, who understand the breed and are committed to continuing his training. His new family must allow him inside to be with his people as he dearly loves being one of the family.
