Hi, my name is Theodore, but you can call me Theo, as I’m sure we’re going to be good friends. I’m on the lookout for my new family, and I’m planning to keep them forever, so I need to be picky who I choose.
So, a bit about me! I’m a Cavalier x Shitzu and I’m 9 months old. I love dogs, and cats, and people… and everything really. I’m boisterous and energetic, and still a big puppy inside, so no kids primary school or younger for my family please, and I would be too much for elderly owners. I think everyone I meet and every dog I see is going to like me and want to play with me, and I have no idea that they might not, so I tend to get overexcited and get in everyone’s face.
I’d love to live with another dog who is young and energetic, and playful. Older dogs or calm dogs will probably not like me very much, as I tend to harass dogs to try to play with me, and foster mum tells me off before the dog tells me off. I like to steal the toys they are trying to play with, as I think all games are for me. I love the ball, and squeaky toys, and soft toys, and tug… well I guess everything really. I have been to doggy day care and did well. I also would like to play with a cat if you have a confident kitty.
I love people and visitors, anyone really, but I find it tricky to mind my manners. Foster mum says I shouldn’t jump up, but I find it hard to remember. I love everyone and just want their attention. I want to play and get attention. I hate to be left alone; I don’t know how to do that very well – hey I’m a covid puppy. I’ve been practicing alone time in my foster home, but I still need lot’s more experience.
So, I can sit and drop on command, and I know how to stay. My recall is not too good yet, so I’ll need lots of help with that, and I’m really not ready to go off lead in public just yet. I walk well on the lead, but I tend to forget my manners occasionally. Foster mum said I used to yank her arm out of her socket, so I try not to do that anymore. I used to have a lovely Mum and Dad, but I destroyed their house and drove them mad, so I can’t live there anymore, even though that makes them sad, but I try not to destroy stuff anymore. I also tried guarding stuff a few times, but I don’t really know how to do that, and foster mum said it’s not very nice to do. I hope you’ll help me be my best. I’d love to keep training and keep getting better.
Send me an email and I’ll send you an application form if you think you can help me!
