About 4096 - Basil
ššæBASILāS THE BESTšæš
Basil is an absolute sweetheart who is looking for the love heās missed out on for the first few years of his life. Basil loves a pat, especially under his chin and down his back - it gets his bum right up in the air! The majority of the time heās easy to approach and start patting, however occasionally heās not in the mood and you might get a hiss to tell you to leave him in peace.
Basil hasnāt shown much interest in toys whilst in foster care, heās more about watching out the window and napping on his cat scratching tree.
Basil was rescued from a pound and hasnāt had the best start to life. He may take a day or two to become accustomed to his new human family and environment once he gets to his new home. Heās easy to pick up but hasnāt quite realised the joy of sitting on a humanās lap for cuddles and prefers to sit next to you on a blanket instead. He also hasnāt investigated sleeping on a sofa or bed yet, but Iām sure heāll be a regular sofa sleeper when he does.
Basil enjoys the company of the other cats in his foster home and would love to go to a home with another friendly feline companion, but he would also be happy being a single cat. If he is with other cats, he doesnāt like being shut away from them at night and will call out for them. He currently lives with a large Labrador and they get on fine so a calm, cat-savvy dog in his new home will suit him well. Due to his sometimes temperamental nature, heās best suited to a home with no children or just older ones that can read his signs.
Basil loves food, heās always waiting at his bowl at breakfast and dinner time, he likes both wet and dry food. Basil is also toilet trained although he is a large cat and does like a larger tray.
