About Lottie
Over the last couple of months Little Miss Lottie has been settling into real life, she is the happiest girl, so excited and intrigued by what the world has to offer and has only just started exploring. She has the most beautiful and endearing personality and will make a fantastic companion.
Lottie is fantastic on lead and only pulls a little bit to follow a scent. She knows the lead means walk so as soon as you pick it up she runs to you ready to go. Walks are slow as Lottie needs to smell every little thing she goes past and say a friendly hello to all other dogs and some people also. She has been doing 20 minutes morning and night as a minimum but can also last a 6km walk easy! She has been taken to the beach and loves walking in the water!
She has been living in an apartment and is toilet trained as long as she gets to go out morning and evening. As she is discovering the world Lottie can get extremely excited about things or food and has become quite the gymnast jumping from couch to couch or onto picnic tables. Sometimes she doesn’t know her own strength so can run into things, people and other dogs by accident. Lottie is fantastic with other dogs and will happily be in their presence, lay around them and play a little game of steal their toy but she is more interested in being with humans than other dogs.
The beagle in her is very strong and she always follows her nose, she can get both over even the most secure fences and squeeze herself under some very small gaps to get under houses. She is slowly learning her name and her recall is getting better each day but she shouldn’t be left unsupervised outside because she will find a way out.
Lottie has very much made herself at home and has been allowed to sleep on the bed, this is her favourite place in the world, she gets very excited when it’s bed time and I often find her snoozing in the day. If you are on the couch she is on it next to you with her bum touching you at all times. Lottie is happy to get in the car but can get car sick on drives over about half an hour. We have tried her in the front seat and that seems to be better.
She doesn’t like being left alone in the house and can start crying if you’re gone for too long so she will need a home that she is very much a part of the family and someone that is around a lot to keep her company and willing to put some time into her training. We have started to master sit but only get it on some days!
Who ever ends up with Miss Lottie will be a very lucky person, she has so much love to give and just wants it back.
