About Billy Ebsworth
Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Are you a good hugger? Billy is looking for a special someone who is fond of cuddles and happy to be kissed by this furry little face. This is one sweet and smoochy boy.
Billy has come out of his shell in his foster home and has blossomed into quite the chatty, affectionate young boy. He runs to the door like a dog when he hears visitors and will happily take over their laps once they sit down. He likes to play and will paw at your hands if he thinks you’ve spent too much time at the computer - he’s probably just telling you what you already know. He likes to play and even play wrestles with people. He isn’t that keen on toys just yet so Billy needs someone who is committed to spending time playing with him.
Billy is no longer jumpy around strange noises as he was when he arrived, but he may take a few weeks to settle in to his new home and adjust to the noises there. Before long though, he will be skidding across the floors to get your attention and chatting away to you.
Billy likes to tuck his foster mum in at night and snuggle up to her face before wandering off to busy himself with night cat business. He always comes bounding back into the room in the morning before curling up for his first daytime nap (of which there are many).
Billy is looking for someone with cat experience who leads a quiet life and has time to play. He is a sweet young character who just needs a safe home, a reliable human and a lot of kisses. Billy has some scars and we think he may have lost his home and been a stray before he ended up in the pound. As a result he is FIV positive. This health condition means he MUST remain as an inside cat, and be an only cat unless placed with another FIV cat.
Make space in your lap and your heart for little Billy Ebsworth.
Thank you to Lyndsay of Paw Focus Photography for the fantastic photos of Billy.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
If you are still interested, please download an application form from our website:
http://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/about-vicdrg/adoption-and-foster-application-forms.html
The application form must be emailed to us: cats@victoriandogrescue.org.au
Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
