About Stix
Stix is a lovey calm quiet gentleman who is exceptionally shy until he gets to know you. He is one of those dogs that is the most amazing gem underneath however he will take some patience and understanding with him over sometime to unearth the gem inside. Once he gets to know you he is a soft and gentle lad that is friendly and quiet.
Ideally, we are looking for a retired gentleman (or couple) who in turn also has a soft and quiet nature that would like a companion, however understands that stix trust is one that is earned. He is not suited to a loud house or person or someone who wants to go walking every single day. Having said that, Stix does come out of his shell when he walks as he quietly enjoys having a job so the odd outing each week would be fine, but he would be more than happy snoozing in the sun in the garden under a shady tree while you have your afternoon cup of tea.
Stix is a solo dog and no cats or sprocket pets please. He is fine with children providing they are respectful and he has a place to retreat to if needed so the grandkids can come and visit. We understand that Stix is a work in progress and are happy to have a conversation with you about him and how to get him to settle into your digs.
