About Marcella
Marcella was left on the streets of the western suburbs, and had at least two litters that we know of. She's a very brave girl, she fought off a fox from one litter and saved her kittens! The kittens found homes but nobody could take Marcella until she was handed in to Lost Dogs Home, and came to our attention. Marcella came into care terrified, she'd shake all over when we came near her but she wouldn't back down (we can see how she fought off a fox six times bigger than her).
Over time and with patience, food and gentle pats with a wand and then careful hands, Marcella has regained her trust in humans and loves being around people. Her meow is delightful, her fur luxuriously plush, and while she still gets nervous, she's a much happier feline. Until you try to pick her up, that is a big no!
Marcella is a stunning green eyed, grey tabby with pretty white paws and a bib. Other than that the dislike of being picked up, Marcella is an ideal gentle feline companion looking for a quiet home with people who'll cherish her and enjoy her sweet ways and good looks. In return Marcella will love you back, give you head butts and purrs, and keep you company. It's the perfect win/win... are you the human for Marcella?
Marcella is a healthy raw fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000012142974, source #RE101165). She is available for adoption right now!

Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
