About Jersey ~ 1.5yr Old BC (On Trial 26/11/20)
Meet Jersey, the purebred wheaten Border Collie who is an absolute stunner!
At 1.5 years old Jersey is the perfect companion, as a working dog he is by your side at all times, he is engaged and curious about everything going on around him, always ready to do jobs and enjoy life. Jersey has great baseline training but is still very excitable and hasn’t been socialised as much as he needs. He is highly intelligent and loves playing fetch with his tennis ball. He also loves playing with his foster sister Summer. Unfortunately Jersey has not had much socialisation as a puppy and is still learning to walk on the lead. He is currently not trained to walk on a lead and will bark incessantly if he sees another dog on the lead. He is improving with his interactions with other dogs while out in public spaces.
Due to his breed he will need an active home where he is walked every morning, a furry friend would help Jersey settle in and ease his separation anxiety. Jersey has lived successfully with other dogs medium and small with no issue, but would require a meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along.
Jersey is looking for a home with someone who understands his needs, he is very vocal and will let you know when he wants something to do! He would benefit from an owner who is willing to put in the time and effort giving him exercise and stimulation multiple times a day. He would not suit a family with children.
