About Oscar
Oscar is a sweet older boy who has shown to be great with children of all ages, he seems to really enjoy the company of gentle children so we are looking for a young family to welcome him into their home.
Oscar suffers from separation anxiety so will need a home where someone is home majority of the time, he does not like being left alone and will display anxiety even if his foster carers leave the room. This is improving a little bit but it will be something his new family needs to be aware of and willing to manage to keep him as calm and happy as possible.
He was surrendered after his original owners circumstances changed and his separation anxiety was causing him to be quite unhappy, he was very loved and cared for but his owner realised Oscar needed more than they were now able to offer.
He will suit a home as an only pet but he loves socialising with other dogs so regular play dates and socialising with other dogs will be essential and part of his adoption agreement. He is still very spritely for his age and he loves going for walks and getting out and about so he won't suit a home where he's expected to be a couch potato all the time. He would love a big yard where he can spend time outdoors being involved in the family activities.
He loves water so trips to the beach will be fun for him.
He can be a bit mischievous and is an opportunist when it comes to food, he can open some cupboards and will jump up and take food off the bench or table if he gets a slight chance. This is improving with some training but his new family will need to be prepared to keep food out of reach and continue his training and set some boundaries.
He's a very affectionate boy who does love a cuddle and after a busy day he's happy to relax and have cuddles with his family.

Please include some information about your home and the lifestyle you can offer Oscar. We understand some people will be desperate to add Oscar to their family but as always we will choose the home that we believe best suits his needs.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
