About Albus
Hi world!
My name is Albus and as my name suggests - I am a magical little guy! I am a 2 year old kelpie staffy mix who loves life, though I do get still a little frightened at times as I haven't always had it as good as I do now.
I am absolutely in love with water play - the days I get to play with hose or sprinkler are my favourite! I get along well with my two doggy foster sisters and love to zoom around the yard with them! Since being in foster care, I have been learning to play fetch and showing more interest in toys for tug of war games.
I settle very well at night and happily go to bed with no fuss! I also love going for drives in the car and will hop right in! I do get a bit frightened when I see other dogs on leash and need a bit more time to learn that they aren't so bad. I have started my training on this and would love to have my forever family's support to increase my confidence on leash!
I love being near my humans - almost as much as I love to do roomies with my foster sisters! I enjoy being inside and outside and will often wander off in search of a comfy spot for a snooze in the sun!
In my past life, I was not given much time or training so I am looking for a forever home who can help me become the best boy I can be! Like most working breed mixes, I have bundles of energy and am eager to learn and to please! I'd love a home with an active family or couple who can help me to continue my training and provide me with a clear and consistent routine. If you have another playful doggy sibling for me to play with - that would be even better - though you and they will need to be patient with me when I meet them for the first time - at least until I overcome my fears.
I can't wait to meet you!
Adoption details
Please do not send an "Enquiry". Please instead follow the below steps:
Step 1: Fill in our application form with as much detail as possible - https://forms.gle/sPnL6QS2ik5A5XUR8
Step 2: If suitable, one of our foster carers will contact you via phone to further discuss the dog you have applied for and assess suitability. The same will also be done for other applicants.
Step 3: A meet and greet will then be organised so that you and the dog can meet.
Step 4: Once the meet and greet has been completed, if our team advises that you may be a suitable candidate you will then be required to submit a detailed written application (a template will be emailed to you) - we will then assess all applications and get back to you with an outcome. We may request a home inspection prior to finalising any application.
Dogs are offered for a trial period in new homes for 21 days before the adoption is confirmed.
No entire dogs will be re-homed under any circumstances.
