About Robbo
ROBBO
English Staffy x Jack Russell Terrier
This guy is full of character!! He has a lot of love to give and definitely plays favorites!
When he first arrived he was very excited to have friends to play with, a nice yard to run around in and a warm bed inside.
Robbo is very easily trained and has been responding really well (With treats) but can have selective hearing. As he is still a puppy he is learning how to stay focused and with constant training he gets it pretty quickly.
Robbo is looking for his best friend. His mate that is always there for him, always hangs out, plays, walks and just has time for him.
With a strong routine, and all the attention he can get, robbo would settle in quite well with someone and be their absolute best friend.
!
Robbo only has little legs so a good run around and play in the yard is great fun for him He’ll then come inside all day and sleep on his bed snoring his head off with a soft toy hanging out of his mouth.
His routine of going to bed in the laundry at 9pm has made him feel very comfortable and safe and he’s very happy to see me every morning for cuddles and breakfast.
Robbo spends a lot of time inside with me when I work from home and I have found this is when he is most happiest. He loves toys all day long. Inside and out. He loves to be playing all the time, discovering things, or sleeping!
TOILETING
We have had a few accidents inside while he was settling in (I don’t have a doggy door) but that soon stoped as he found his feet. He lets you know when he needs to go outside.
Robbo can hold all day long if he wants to. He holds all night in the laundry until he’s let out in the morning. I think with a doggy door he will be absolutely fine.
COMMANDS/TRAINING
There are a lot of commands Robbo knows and a lot he likes to ignore. He is a very smart puppy and he will push your buttons to see when you give up.
Sit, wait, lay, gentle, bed, here, etc.... if he didn’t know it, he’s learnt it very quickly.
Robbo takes stern commands well and to learn something new he needs treats and learns very quickly!
KIDS
Robbo can be very excitable and looses concentration when he sees someone to play with. I believe Robbo will be best in a home with older kids (teens) or no kids as he is still learning and everyone needs to be on the same page for him. But with time and patience he will get it, he will grow out of his little nippy stage as he’s a puppy.
CATS/DOGS
Robbo is dog reactive. I don’t believe he came across many prior to staying with us. And has not been around cats.
BED TIME
Ohhhh does Robbo love to nap!!! He spends all day napping in the sun! When it comes to bed time he knows what to do. He has a kennel outside which he has pulled his blanket out of as he prefers to sleep under the stars, Otherwise happily takes himself to the laundry to his comfy big bed for a good nights sleep.
He sleeps all the night and wakes about 7.30-8 ready to go!!
TIME ALONE
If Robbo is distracted he can spend some time on his own. He LOVES to play with lots of toys. Squeaky soft toys are his favorite (he destroys these within a day BUT loves them) along with rope toys that can’t be pulled apart. He will play on his own for hours and then sleep!
Robbo will need minimum time on his own as he prefers to be with his family otherwise like most Staffy and JRT he will get bored and find something to wreck.
He loves his toy box we have available for him, as I pack it up he unpacks it and throws it around the yard. He enjoys searching through the toy box for his favorite toys.
ACTIVITIES/WALKS
At the start Robbo was very unsur
