About Jag
Jag is a beautiful 8-year-old man and could be the cuddliest dog you’ve ever met. You wouldn’t believe this bundle of energy and joy is 8 years old, he has the spring in his step and the wag in his tail of a 4 year old. This Schnauzer x Staffy loves nothing more than being on the couch, bed or floor for a cuddle with his foster family. He is a real people person and loved spending time with his humans and meeting new ones. He loves his morning walk and gets very enthusiastic and friendly when he sees another dog. He interacts well with other dogs quite although he has not been tested with other animals.
Jag is toilet trained, has excellent recall and doesn’t bark often. Jag sits on command but will not wait when his food is being served.
Jag has a skin condition where he has irritations on some parts of his body, particularly on his belly. On advice from the vet, this should clear up on a raw diet, he is also currently on a round of antibiotics. Due to his skin condition, he requires a daily dose of Omega oil 3, 6 and 9. Unless otherwise advised by your vet, Jag should continue to take the Omega oil in his new families’ care.
Jag also suffers from separation anxiety which would need to be worked on. To help him work through this anxiety, he is currently prescribed a daily dose of 10ml Fluoxetine in the morning (anti-anxiety medication). His new family must be committed to ongoing training and preferably have previous experience with dogs with separation anxiety.
This beautiful man would be suited to someone who is home quite often and leads an active lifestyle. Jags new family must be committed to his ongoing training and prescribed medication.
