Cassie

*cassie has become a permanent foster dog as her health is deteriorating*cassie is a beautiful loving lady. She loves a sleep in, if we are not off to work early and making her get up to go out to the toilet, she will sleep till at least 9am, no matter what the rest of the house is doing. Once she is up and about she will just follow one of us around, very slowly i might add but she doesn’t stop. If we sit for a while not doing anything of interest to her and the other dogs (eating!!) she will take her self outside for a wander or keep wandering around inside until we are up and moving again, she will follow the other dogs but is happiest with us or alone. If we are playing ball with two of the other dogs she will trot around after them. She is mostly very calm and slow, but occasionally surprises us with bursts of energy, for example the other day i took them all for a walk and she trotted and ran the whole time, but normally every other day besides her burst of excitement running out the door she just slow walks the rest of the way and then another surprise the other night after her bath, she ran around the house like a spastic puppy, it was hilarious and lasted for about half an hour. She was running flat out jumping in and out of her basket and with the others. Plus if a chew snack is handed out she is excited and full of beans like the others in anticipation, which is great because she wasn’t interested in food the first couple of days. We think she would suit someone retired who was home with her most of the time because she is happiest just following you around, she is very independent and doesn’t require heaps of attention, just loves a pat when your handing it out but doesn’t hassle for it like some dogs do. We don’t think she would suit kids or younger dogs because she is too slow to get out of the way and would probably get hurt as she is fairly fragile. Because of her failing sight she needs someone patient with her being underfoot at times and she is hard of hearing so it’s hard to get her attention without going to her. She has a great personality and is so loveable and she deserves a lot of love cause she doesn't ask for much, just needs to know your there for her. She is a very loving girl.
