About Pippa
Hi! I'm Pippa and I am bonded with Pepsi R088. We are the dynamic duo :) Pippa is a lovely female looking for a nuzzle and a brush. Guinea pigs are cute little animals that love to explore and bury under leaves and vegetation. Some of their favourite pastimes include running through tunnels, munching on vegetables, and talking to each other. Guinea pigs are more heat tolerant than rabbits, however, in the Pilbara heat, their owners still need to watch out for their safety. Currently, I have time in my outdoor cage in the late afternoon so I can play in the leaves. During the heat of the day I am kept inside where it's nice and cool. Guinea pigs are fantastic pets for gentle children and require a brush once or twice a week, supply of water, and a comfortable sleeping area. Their home needs to be cleaned every day and their bedding requires weekly changing.
Just like all guinea pigs I love to bury myself under leaves and vegetation. I love tunnels too. I eat a variety of foods - I'm still trying to decide on my favourites but fresh greens every day are a must. We need to be fed twice a day and our diet also includes hay, pellets and washed fruit and veges.
What else will I need to be happy? A gnawing block, a brush once or twice a week, fresh water in a metal spouted drip bottle and my own sleeping area - with a cover on top. Guinea pigs need their home cleaned every day and their bedding changed every week. We can live for up to ten years. And we make great pets for gentle children.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
