About Taco
Hi my name is Taco!
I am a Miniature Fox Terrier x Chihuahua and have just turned 3 years old
My foster mum asked me to write a list of demands for new family – so you ready – here goes……….
1. I looove cuddles – so someone who will give me the time to meet them, get comfortable and then be prepared for a life time of cuddles and snuggles
2. Kids – love playing with kids – love playing with the ball - and with that I mean watching the kids play fetch while I just run around. Love to run around with them while ride their bikes and just do general kids things.
3. Being with my humans – I am one of those dogs that wants my humans home more often than not – but I will give you a cheeky smile and a cuddle!
4. More than happy to be an only dog or a family with one other - Other dogs are ok as long as they don’t and I mean they don’t go near my food - I don't share - It’s all about me.
5. I do get nervous in new environments but my foster mum pretends she doesn't notice and I do get brave all on my own when given a chance – I’m on to her!!
6. I need to be able to sleep under the blankets it’s my thing - freaks everyone out cause they can’t find me - sometimes I know they are looking for me and I have a laugh, other times I’m fast asleep and don’t know you’re looking for me - joys of being so little.
7. I love going on walks and playing chases with the small person of the house but sometimes he can get a little loud so just run back to my foster mum.
8. Since I’ve been desexed my toilet training inside has got heaps better and no more accidents but a new house I might need so time to get used to a new routine so i need my new family to be ok and patient with me.
9. I haven’t been around cats and I did hear my foster mum mumble something about I’m like the flash when I ring so cats may not stand a chance near me.
10. The rescue just did a big clean of my teeth and gums and I feel like a brand new man! So ideally someone who wants to make sure my diet (not my choice of words) is a good healthy one so these pearly whites stay looking and feeling this good!
So if you are looking for a little bundle of spunk who loves cuddles walks and hiding under the blankets at night time please click on my adoption application

All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
