About Pirate
This is Pirate - named for obvious reasons. He is a male Great Dane cross about 12-14 weeks old. He was found wandering the street and his owner did not claim him. So we are now looking for an extra-special home that will welcome this little (big) fellow into their homes and hearts.
Our vet suspects he was born with an eye defect which caused him to be blind in his right eye. To prevent damage, the eye was removed - and now he is Pirate - our one-eyed puppy. This does not stop Pirate in any way - he is still an outgoing, mischievious puppy - happy to steal toys, climb on your lap for cuddles and run around like a puppy possessed. Boundaries? There are no boundaries when Pirate decides he's tired and wants a cuddle on your lap.
Pirate is smart and is learning to walk on a lead. He sits really well and is learning other manners. He likes playing with other dogs and loves toys.
We are looking for a family that doesn't mind that he has one eye, that will love him, care for him, exercise him and teach him new and wonderful things. Pirate has alot of love to give - let it be you.....
