About Oscar
Oscar is a typical Husky: super-friendly, active, smart and vocal.
This lovely boy is looking for a home where he will get lots of attention and the opportunity to engage in all sorts of fun activities with his family. He is good with children, and quite gentle in all his human interactions.
Oscar gets excited when he sees other dogs, but calms down once he meets them. If you already have a canine family member, they will need to meet Oscar to ensure they can be good friends.
This intelligent and inquisitive boy would do well in a home where he has company most of the time. Two metre colourbond fences will help keep him safe and secure when he is on his own.
Oscar's beautiful double coat needs lots of brushing to look its best. His coat will protect him from the cold in winter, and, to an extent, provide him with some insulation against summer heat. However, in the warmer months, he will need to be exercised only in the coolest part of the day.
Oscar responds to basic commands and is learning to walk well on a lead. As a breed with a working history, he will need a home where he gets plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. An experienced owner would suit Oscar best, as he is smart and strong-willed but eager to learn.
Oscar's new home will need to be one with no cats or pocket pets.
Oscar weighs 24 kg and is available for interstate adoption to the ACT.
