About Butternut
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: -- INDOOR BUNNY -- CHILDREN 10+ CONSIDERED -- ANOTHER BUNNY CONSIDERED (DESEXED FEMALE ONLY) --
Butternut was sadly surrendered to us as his family could no longer keep him. He has lived his life as a happy indoor bunny, and we are seeking a similar environment for his new home. Butternut enjoys a calm lap cuddle from time to time, and a nice scratch around the head, but he can get nervous when he is approached from behind or handled incorrectly. For this reason, he is not suited to live with young children, but respectful children over the age of 10 will be considered. Butternut has shown some interest in his bunny neighbours here at the shelter, so could potentially live with a desexed female rabbit, given slow and controlled interactions. As an indoor bunny, Butternut will need a nice secure spot for sleeping, but will need lots of space to play and stretch his legs. He loves to play and explore, but your power cords will need to be lifted up out of reach! If Butternut sounds like the bunny for you, you can make an appointment to meet him on our website.
IMPORTANT: Following Government guidelines during the COVID19 Pandemic we are reducing foot traffic at our Shelter. If you are interested in meeting this animal with a view to adoption - please book an appointment with our staff through the link provided https://www.rspca-act.org.au/adoption-appointments
