Our sweet greyhound Lisa is looking for a family as chill and cuddly as her. She is easy to please- keep her by your side, shower her with kisses and cuddles and take her for her daily walk and she’ll be happy being your companion. She always wants to be near you and she just loves the people she trusts. She is extra lazy for a greyhound and would love to be your movie buddy even on the non-rainy days! Lisa howls and doesn’t cope when left alone for long periods of time, full time working homes won’t be suitable for her and we would love to find her somewhere where she will have company almost all of the time! Lisa deserves a home where she will be spoilt and treated as a queen!
TRAINING: Lisa can be a little slow, she doesn’t understand commands just yet but we feel she has the capability of learning. She isn’t fully house trained just yet either but Lisa is still having to learn what it is to be an inside and loved dog. Her history a bred for racing greyhound means she hasn’t had a past life where she knows how to be a part of the family and she needs patience and lots of love.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Greyhounds are lazy, but Lisa is next level! She is super lazy and happy with a walk in the morning and one in the afternoon. She has short bursts of energy in the park and loves to chase birds.
OTHER DOGS: Lisa is dog friendly. If she was to live with another dog she would need a calm or older dog just to match her personality. She does like to play with other dogs, however doesn’t like overactive puppies. At times she isn’t fazed at all by the presence of another dog!
CATS: Untested
CHILDREN: Lisa has not had much interaction with children however is really territorial over her food & treats so it could be something to take into consideration having small children wanting to play when she’s eating.
ON LEASH: Lisa is really good on a lead, but sometimes stubborn if she doesn’t want to walk anymore. She is getting better on walks though and doesn’t pull at all.
A couple that don’t want a super active dog would suit our beautiful Lisa, an older couple would be lovely for her. If you want a really affectionate chill dog then Lisa is your girl. She’d be a perfect apartment dog as she sleeps most of the time!
NEEDS & REQUIREMENTS: Please read her specific needs here and answer to yourself if you think you can meet her requirements:
• Lots of love
• Company majority of the time - stressed when alone
• General command training
• Less active home
