About Panther
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
I am a big, smoochy, boofhead of a boy. I like attention and will come out for a chat with you. I loves my hugs and pats, and become really smoochy when someone gives me lovin' (I will even drool a little!). I also love getting brushed, which is helpful to maintain my delightful black coat. I have a great appetited and am very food driven. Sometimes I can get a little over-excited and overstimulated, and then I will give a little 'love bite' to let you know I've had enough. This is not hard enough to hurt or break the skin and my carers have been telling me a firm ''no'' to help train me out of this. I've been living on my own for a little while, so need to re-learn some of my manners. It seems that I am like a really big kitten, and I just don't quite understand my size and age - my carers found this endearing.
My Ideal Home:
A loving home with humans who will love on me and provide me with consistent care. They will need to be committed to keeping me as an indoor kitty for y safety and that of the local wildlife. I may not be suitable for elderly humans due to my current 'love-bitey' behavior.
What is Known About My Background:
I was rescued from a local pound where I was brought in by some concerned citizens who had found me living on the streets. I am clearly domesticated so have lived with a family at some stage.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I really don't understand my size and so, can be very overbearing with other cats. A really strong cat at the pound put me in my place and I learned to leave her alone, but I then dominated the other cats. All in all, we think it would be better if I remain a solo cat. I am untried with puppers at this time. I should be fine with older kids but worry that my love bites would not go well with smaller kids who can't read my body language to know when I am becoming overwhelmed.
