About Drusilla
Please note: Drusilla is not suitable to be an only cat. Whether it's your resident cat or one of ours, she needs another more confident cat around.
Beautiful miss Drusilla is a sweet, timid fluffy girl. She has lived most of her life between a wall and a fence, so is naturally quite wary of humans.
Since coming into care with CPoM, Drusilla has come out of her shell slowly. She now comes over for a smoochy pat (and even purrs), is very playful and runs zoomies up and down the stairs, and follows the resident cat like a shadow. She spends her days under the protection of the table, and despite the hissing when you go in to pat her, she is pretty tolerant and has never lashed out, apart from the friendly nip when she becomes playful.
Because Drusilla was such a shy girl who never fought back, she's got FIV, but other than having a dental when she was at Lost Dogs Home, her health is excellent. She does need the companionship of another cat, preferably confident whom she can look up to and learn from. Any resident kitty can be easily vaccinated against FIV so there's no risk to either feline.
If you're looking for a stunning long haired kitty who's sweet and shy but super cute and playful when she is confident with you, Drusilla is the superstar puss for you! Send an enquiry now!
Drusilla is a healthy FIV+ cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000012115935, source #RE101165). She is available for adoption right now!
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
