About Axle
- Seeking an adult only home
- Cat social, but can annoy them with wanting to play
- Currently living with another dog, but careful introductions required.
'Sup, I'm Axle. So, the deal is I'm looking for a new best friend. Basically someone cool to hang out with and stuff. You got a missus or a bloke at home? That's fine - I have plenty of love to go round.
I like to go walking, there's so much to sniff everyday. I don't have much time for other dogs we meet on the way, there's too much I need to smell and not enough time to get it all done! Car rides are also great - no better feeling hanging your head out the window and feeling that breeze in your hair! Also, I like a good swim. You'll want to hang onto me if we're near water and you don't want a wet dog. Otherwise, get your swimmers on and come with me!
I'm really good at knowing my name. In fact, if you call it I'll come straight to you. I'm actually pretty smart...so I'm told. I can give you my paw, sit down, find my ball. These small things really seem to excite you humans. I also like to have a good chat with you, and sometimes I might chat at the mail man or the possums or the lawnmower... Long story short, I like to use my voice!
I'm a bit unsure about other dogs, but if you let me take my time to get to know them, I'm happy to make pals. Sharing my home with another dog is a possibility, as I do love my current foster brother, but a pooch of similar age and size to me would be preferred. When we're out and about on adventures, I'd rather not say hi to the pestering puppies who don't respect my space.
I'm a really loyal guy. I love my humans and I'm devoted to them. I'll come everywhere with you, but I'm also happy to spend some time home alone. I like meeting strangers, because everyone is a potential ear scratcher. Except the kids... I'm not always so polite around those ones, so I'm looking for a home with adults only.
Time, patience and continued training could make you a really good human...and I'll probably benefit as well from your improvement. I do have a teensy weensy bit of food aggression, but my foster humans are working through this with me and we are seeing great progress.
So, come and shake my paw and get to know me. I'm ready to devote myself to a loyal companion, and I know once I've found my human, you'll never have anyone love you like I can.
