About Molly
We are convinced Molly was a spy in another life. She’s got an uncanny ability to never let her humans stray too far out of her sight. And if they leave the room, she will stealthily trot after them to continue the surveillance around the house.
Molly has suffered some injuries throughout her career in espionage. She broke her hock on her right rear leg and there have been ongoing complications because it wasn’t properly treated at the time. After two surgeries and loosing her middle toes, Molly is on the mend. However it will need ongoing monitoring and treatment in the future. This injury means she must wear a very cute boot when going outside. It’s her signature spy look.
Apart from the boot, you wouldn’t know Molly has suffered an injury. She’s filled with joy and a lust for life that can’t be tamed. She’s chirpy and positive and always sees the best out of life. She’s very affectionate and will simply do anything for a treat, which makes an excellent training tool. Her confidence shines out of her like the sun. She loves humans and dogs too, however can get a bit too excited around them and is still learning her manners.
Her puppy-dog eyes and sweet disposition will have you falling in love with Molly in seconds.

Medical notes
Molly broke her hock on her rear right leg during her last race and it wasn’t properly treated at the time. She had surgery shortly after coming into foster care. Unfortunately, a blood clot developed in her leg after the surgery and required a second surgery. As a result, Molly lost her 2 middle toes on that foot and her leg has a few scars from the surgery, She does have a very cute boot that she can wear outside though. Molly has been very unlucky with her leg and may need further treatment in the future.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.
