PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR A DOG
We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.
IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS
Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -
* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms
If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.
If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.
Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.

Requirements:
*An energetic and active home committed to regular mental and physical stimulation.
*No young children
*A home with plenty of space for Quincy to run and stretch his legs
Quincy is a beautiful natured dog that will be your loyal and loving pal. He adores affection and loves to be by your side. He is also quite happy to lounge around both indoors and outdoors and is happy with his own company if he needs to be left alone.
Being a heeler/working dog, he would benefit with a walk or a run at least twice a day. He walks well on lead, and would make an excellent running buddy.
He is currently in care with a small, calm dog and they get along well. When he has met other dogs on walks, he has proven to be a generally well mannered gentleman.
In care, he has met the resident cat and so far has shown great control around him. He has not shown any aggression but will chase, if the cat runs.
Even though he is living with 3 small children presently, it would be advised not to have him go to a home with young children as he does have an instinctual trait to chase and nip when the kids are in an excitable state.
Quincy has learnt basic commands in the time he has been in care, sleeps in a crate overnight, and is toilet trained.
He is ready to jump into his forever home and can’t wait to start a new chapter of his life. If you have room for Quincy, he will easily win his way to your heart.
