About Lexi
This sweet and affectionate girl is Lexi, our 9 week old Great Dane x Border Collie mix 💕
She is currently in care with 1 of her siblings, living with 3 host dogs & 4 host cats. Lexi craves human attention and just loves hanging out with you, whether that be under your desk while you work, or following you around the garden. She is a very relaxed girl who and will love you with all her heart. Lexi would do well in a home with another dog as she just loves her doggy companions. She is an active/intelligent pup and will need plenty of enrichment toys, exercise and mental stimulation to keep her mind busy. She has met the cats in her foster home, and is intrigued by them, but not focused on them.
Lexi is doing well with toilet training, now heading outside to do her business. She is crate trained overnight and has no accidents as long as you put her out first thing in the morning. This is something that will need to be continued in her new home. She gets along well with her host dogs and siblings, and loves a good game of Tug-o-war in the backyard.
Lexi is a very smart girl, she is already sitting on command, learning to shake hands and currently working on recall.
We would love to see Lexi find a home where she had the company and guidance of another dog and experienced dog owners. She is very trainable and settled nicely into her foster home. She has the 'Puppy dog eyes' mastered and will win you over in a heartbeat!
Lexi will be a large dog when fully grown, so you would need to be prepared for this. She will need a medium to large size yard with height appropriate fencing, and a home where she will be treated as part of the family 👨👨👧👧🐕🐕 She is fair around her black nose so you will need to be sun safe with her in the summer months by applying sun cream to her nose to help prevent skin cancer.
As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Lexi will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered and socialised girl.
Due to Lexi’s size/breed, we will be allowing her to be re-homed under a desex agreement. This will mean that Lexi must be returned to one of our approved vets on the Central Coast for desexing, no later than 16th February 2021 (6 months old). We have consulted a number of vets who have all confirmed this is an appropriate age for the breed/size. For this reason, there will be no interstate adoptions and we will be ideally looking for a home on the Central Coast.
She is located in Glenning Valley on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
