Hi everybody, my name is Roger. I’m a mature boy who is very much still a young pup at heart. My foster family say I am one of the most loving dogs they have ever come across! If you adopt me, you’ll have to be ready for 10000 hugs and kisses a day LITERALLY. I'm looking for my forever home, somewhere to settle down in one place with a family who will love me. Not to be biased but I’m the best company anyone could ever ask for!
Roger is a loving, gentle boy who is great with kids, however a mature couple would be the most ideal as his favourite thing to do is sit on the couch and cuddle. He can sometimes be a bit wary of men and can nip if he feels afraid or threatened. His foster carers have worked on this by getting the males in the house to feed him at dinner time, which has helped a lot! He is untested with cats.
He has great manners and is definitely a fast learner. Roger is not aggressive with food, however will try and get into his fur foster brother or sister's bowl if given the chance. He is amazing on the lead and such a awesome dog to take on walks as he doesn’t pull. He is also non-reactive with other dogs.
Since living in foster care, Roger has really come out of his shell and is beginning to learn the joys of play fighting with his fur siblings - he knows he can be rough with the larger dog and knows to go easy on the small puppy. Roger would be happy in a house full of dogs or in a house with none, the only thing he requires is heaps of love and attention! Apart from cuddles - his second favourite thing to do is chase a ball or two. He will need at least 5ft fencing.
Whoever has the opportunity to adopt this beautiful boy will be paid back ten fold with love and affection - we can guarantee you that!
Medical notes
Roger is currently on a slow-kill heartworm eradication program that involves fortnightly medication. All medication and medical costs related to his heartworm eradication are covered by Precious Paws.
