About Winter
Winter is a beautiful and very friendly cat who is looking for a loving forever home! She is approx 1 years old and was originally found as a street kitten.
She is an exceptionally engaging and loving cat - very dog like but without all the maintenance! She likes to know what you are up to and sleep the day away next to you on the sofa (or by the chair if you work from home). She is truly the most affectionate cat I have come across - she LOVES to lick you and runs over to the door to greet you when you get home.
She is not a noisy cat, and has a very sweet little "chirp" and a gorgeous sqeaky purr (which activates as soon as you pat her).
She eats almost everything (not fussy on types of cat food) and is quite adventurous with human food (loves blueberries - chasing them and eating them!).
She is very clean and tidy in her litter box, and is not a scratcher. So far she has not jumped on counters, and she does not disturb things or knock things over - very respectful little thing :-)
Before coming into foster with me, she was rescued up by a kind lady who had three greyhounds - she was fine with this so could definitely live with the right dogs and likely other cats too.
She enjoys meeting new people and loves to chill with you when you're home (she would like lots of chin scratches if you have time). When you're out, you can find her snoozing the day away in her favourite spots (currently under the desk or spread out on the sofa!).
And she really is BEAUTIFUL (and knows it!) - she'd love to meet you soon!

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
