BEHAVIOURAL: General training and patience with howling/anxiousness needed.
This is our special senior Lucy. She is so pretty and sweet and when you see her you just want to give her a cuddle. Lucy deserves the absolute best home where she will be spoiled and made to feel secure and comfortable as she settles. Lucy is so sweet and loves to be close to you and it is important she has a very caring and sweet owner/s to give her a lot of love. A patient owner to take the time to build trust with Lucy is important; she can be quite anxious and skittish. Lucy is 8 years old and not as active as a typical husky due to her age but she is still active enough to go for regular walks and be included in all your outings and adventures. She loves curling up on her bed after a long walk but will follow you wherever you go. Lucy is a howler at times and her new family will need to be okay with this. She would benefit greatly from living with another older or calm dog similar size to her. She is more relaxed this way and we think it is important for her health and comfort. Lucy would be most happy in a home with adults only, another calm dog for company and to be included in all aspects of your life.
TRAINING: Lucy is a well-mannered girl. She can not be trusted off lead however as she does not come back. She can be pretty fussy with food and howls when she is left alone. In her new home there will need to be an adjustment period with extra patience. When she first arrived she had never lived inside a house and this was confusing for the poor girl. She howled and wanted to be outside. She now loves a cuddle and being in the warm house but her new owners will need to be patient and extra loving with her for the first few weeks.
ACIVITY LEVEL: 1-2 half hour walks a day, she lives for them! She does get restless if she isn't walked and this daily exercise will be an important part of her new lifestyle.
OTHER DOGS: Lucy is dog friendly with dogs her size but she doesn’t like smaller dogs or animals. Another dog of the same size and energy level, that isn't jumpy or too in her face. She is quite polite and gentle with dogs but again she is best kept away or on a lead around smaller ones. Lucy doesn't initiate play and isn't interested in it. Ideally a senior, for the company, would be awesome for Lucy.
Cats: No
KIDS: Adult only home or teenagers only. Kids agitate and stress Lucy and a home even where loud and young kids visit will highly stress her.
ON LEASH: Walks well on leash but does jump when excited- who could blame her!
NEEDS & REQUIREMENTS: Please read her specific needs here and answer to yourself if you think you can meet her requirements:

• A patient, extra loving owner
