About Max
Hi, my name is Max and I am approximately 12 months old. I am a Fox Terrier cross.
I am a very happy, bouncy boy, although I am scared of squeaky balls and will run and hide if you have one, but I love the toys that you hide food in; they are so much fun.
I love to go for walks (I can easily do 1 – 2 hours a day) I’m okay on the lead but I constantly like to change sides when walking with you so I might trip you up, that being said, I don’t really pull on the lead. I also love to sniff absolutely everything, so the walk will definitely take longer than normal. I haven’t quite learnt to always listen when you call my name, but if you have treats then that helps and I love to make friends with other dogs, but only one at a time - anymore and I get a little scared.
I have a healthy respect for cats: I saw one on the street once and just stood about 3 feet away and stared at it but didn’t go near it. I haven’t figured out birds yet, I try to chase them if I see them but thankfully I never manage to catch them.
I am house trained but I occasionally have the odd accident in the house, but that happens because I am in an apartment right now and my foster mum needs to take me out first thing in the morning, if she is a bit late taking me out then she can’t expect me to hold on, can she?!
I never bark, but I will whimper if you go into another room and I can’t come, but I do calm down after a few minutes.
I love cuddles, but once I’ve had enough, I will retreat to the other end of the couch to chill out on my own.
I’m looking for a loving home – I don’t mind if there are other animals, just as long as they are friendly, and slow and supervised introductions take place. I do jump around and get excited first thing in the morning or when you come home, so a house with no young children would suit me best!
If you would like to know more about me, or have any questions, feel free to ask!
