About Murphy ~ GSD X Cattle (On Trial 24/10/2020)
My name is Murphy and I am an 8 week old German Shepherd x Cattle Dog puppy. I will grow up to be a medium to large sized dog. My brother and I have been learning about the big wide world with my foster family, I think I’m grown up enough and am almost ready to find my very own forever home.
I’m still only young and will need to be shown the good boy ways. My mum said that my breed means that I will be an active boy, who will need daily walks or runs on the beach to keep me a happy pup! I will need someone with me for most of the day particularly if there are no other dogs in the household. I will need ongoing training and would benefit from Puppy Preschool, I heard it’ll be great for my social life! Exposure to other dogs of all shapes and sizes early on is very important for my socialisation skills. I am very smart and love learning new tricks, food is my very favourite thing and I will do anything for a treat!
My brother and I love to wrestle in the sun and explore the yard, sometimes our foster sister joins us and we all have a blast. I would really like a new brother or sister to hang out with in my new home. I am at the puppy stage where it feels good to bite and chew so I need consistency in my training and suitable toys and mental stimulation so I don't get bored. I try really hard to make friends with my kitty brothers, even though sometimes they run away. I am learning to be more gentle and not to chase them.My toilet training is going really well, I even take myself outside when I need to go. I have the occasional accident but that is ok because I am learning every day!
I love my people and it would be really awesome if I could have my very own bed close to you to sleep in at night. I really would love to be part of your family.
If you’re ready for this worthwhile commitment and think I’d be a great, permanent addition to your family, or if you'd like to know more about me, please email my foster mum, Jackie at jackie.bryant1@outlook.com.au.
I am currently living on the Central Coast, NSW. Please fill out the adoption questionnaire here: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
As I am not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens areas as I will need to be returned to my vet for desexing when I am approximately 5 months old. I am NOT available for long distance or interstate adoption.
My adoption fee is $600 each, which covers my desexing, vaccination, microchipping, flea and worming treatments. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
