Roxy

Meet the wonderful Roxy. She's a 13.5-year-old, Jack Russel x Staffy, who is a beautiful companion.

Roxy's foster family would describe her as affectionate, obedient, relaxed, loving and playful. She loves going to the park, napping on the couch, being around her humans, lying in the sun, sniffing outside, eating her treats, playing with toys, being pampered and fussed over, lots and lots of belly pats.

Roxy loves an evening walks, and we'd love her to continue to be walked every day, for about an hour! She will often get a bit restless in anticipation. She also absolutely loves her ball. Often she will get her rope toy or ball and ask her humans to play with her.

She will sleep all night and dozes during the day. She is happy to relax on the couch/her bed while you're working or out at the shops. She is an extremely obedient house dog. She will come on demand, sit and follow instructions (e.g. jumping off the bed/couch). She is toilet trained and we have never had issues in this area.

An important thing to know if that on walks, Roxy is uncomfortable with other dogs on a lead. She is both afraid and assertive. She will pull on the lead and if too close will get upset. Sometimes she seems a bit nervous around dogs off lead, but she's been working on her exposure & is starting to relax and show interest towards them. We want to find her a home where people are not put off walking her though - as it is her favourite thing to do!

She has also been tested around kids and cats. She seems very gentle with children and steers clear of cats. However, at her age, we would prefer to not rehome her with young, energetic kids.

When excited Roxy can bark. Her foster family feels she could work on her 'quiet' if you put in the work.

You will absolutely adore Roxy. She is the sweetest, most affectionate little lady and deserves to live the remainder of her life being treated like a queen.
