About Bodin
Heyaaaaaa! I'm Bodin. I'm a 4-year-old, American Bulldog.
My foster carers describe me as affectionate, loving, sensitive, goofy and loyal. My what lovely words. They rock!
I'm pretty active. I'll happily join you on a 5km run and/or a daily walk. But while you're working, I'll happily nap, chew on toys, bones or long-lasting treats. I also love fetch - I'll happily play for 30 mins a day! It would be amazing to move into a home with a big yard for me to play in.
I'm happy to let the early birds get the worms, I'd much prefer to stay in bed and cuddle as long as I can. I lovvvve laying in the sun, and having cuddles. I might try nibble on your ear mid hug if you let me.
I've been improving a lot on the lead with my foster family, so I hope you'll keep up the training with me! Consistency is key.
I'm not much of a barker but do get a bit nervous when left alone for long periods or without much attention, which can lead to a bit of whining. I'm getting more confident with meeting other dogs in controlled environments but am not a dog park guy! I am more comfortable with smaller dogs, as that is who I've been meeting. I have a bit of 'stranger danger', especially to men in masks. But who wouldn't be, right!? Also, children... I am not very comfortable around them, so am looking for a kid-free home, please.
I'm so excited about my new life and am so proud of how far I have come with my foster family. I am really just looking for a family who can give me lots of love, care and companionship.
My foster mum said this about me - which I think is pretty darn lovely and I want to share with you...
"It’s going to be heartbreaking not fostering him anymore, he really is such a loving caring dog who will bring so much happiness and joy to his forever family’s life. He’s goofy and quirky, so loyal and loving and has brought me so much joy these past months."
Medical notes
One thing I need your love and support with is my nightmares. Which happen every night, but have been getting better & less frequent while with my foster family. While I can sound a little frightening, please know I am more scared than you. My foster family just give me the space I need, until I wake up from my REM sleep, and then soothe me until I am no longer feeling sad about it.
Bodin is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.

🧡 Important note to those interested in adopting Bodin 🧡
If you’re interested in adopting Bodin, please submit an application through our website:
https://homelesshounds.com.au/animal/bodin/
...and please provide as much detail about you, your home and lifestyle as possible.
We are getting dozens, if not hundreds of applications for our animals at the moment, so we are unable to keep up with private messages and emails. By applying on our site, we will be able to spend more time creating new families and saving animals, as opposed to responding to enquiries. Thank you so much!
Please note all our animals are in private foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Therefore all meets are by appointment only.
