Beautiful Alimo is a bundle of sweetness, just wanting to be loved ... and fed lots! She is a quiet girl, enjoying basking in the sunshine and taking it easy. She is toilet trained and has basic manners, is eager to please and doesn’t like disappointing her people. She craves love and scratches, and will happily lay near or next to you and have a snooze.
She LOVES her walkies, and is getting around 2-3 hours of exercise per day in her foster home, plus plenty of mind stimulation. Her new home must be able to cater to at least an hour of physical exercise overall per day. Alimo likes to play with her soft toys by exploring what’s inside them, and chewing on ropes and other yummy things. She is a good girl and has learnt the difference between dog toys and human possessions like shoes... though she might try sneak away with one if not properly stimulated during the day.
Providing she gets her exercise and mental games like food puzzles, she is very relaxed in the house and is happy lazing about on her own.
She is still learning how to play and doesn’t realise her size and strength, so an owner willing to continue her training is a must. She has a very keen sense of smell, affectionately nicknamed “Sniffy”, and while on walks, she can focus in on scents very quickly and is a strong girl on lead, so someone with the strength and confidence to handle her is a must.
She gets along well with other dogs, however would not be suited to an off lead dog park without extra training and socialisation as she can get overwhelmed easily. She would suit a home with or without an existing dog, if you already have a dog we would be looking that it is not too boisterous and is relaxed but confident. She will need a home without cats or pocket pets
