If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.

Requirements
* Active household with someone at home most of the time
* No children - older dog savvy teenagers are fine
* A home committed to ongoing training and regular socialisation
* Another large dog who is willing to play but will also help Swanston continue to learn
* No livestock or cats
Swanston is a big handsome boy who is full of fun and love. He can feel anxious if he is without company so another doggy companion is likely to help with that. He is inquisitive, playful and very intelligent. An ideal day for Swanston involves two good walks…or even three! He needs around 90 minutes of good exercise daily. He spends a lot of time between walks snoozing in his bed. He also enjoys toys that stimulate him mentally such as kongs containing treats. He would love a sand pit to play in!
He can get very excited at times and is still learning not to jump or mouth his humans when playing, for this reason, older teens or no children are preferred. A strong, confident parent with large dog experience is his ideal to help him continue to learn gentlemanly play. He responds very well to routine, firm and consistent rules, and plenty of loving attention. He is fully house trained and has learnt to sit, lie down, go to bed and shake hands. He has lovely manners when he sees his dinner being prepared and sits very nicely until he is told he can eat.
He is an excellent exercise companion and loves to go for a run even more than he love going for walks. He also enjoys going out in the car to explore new places. He requires a good sized yard that can accommodate his big boy zoomies!
