About Poppy 🌼
I know you are probably mesmerised by my good looks, but I really do need to tell you a bit about myself, so that I find the absolute best home to suit my needs.....
So I'm a 9wk old German Shepherd x Staffy....I have been in foster care since I was just 7 days old, along with my 5 brothers and sisters. My original owner was not expecting our arrival and due to the fact they had previously had Parvo in their backyard, the safest option was to get us out, before we ventured out into the yard. Whilst we missed our Mumma, we have been loved and adored by our special foster families, and now ready to find a special place to call home 🏠
Poppy is my name, and I'm a very active puppy who's always up for a wrestle with my brother and foster dogs. I do love to be around my humans too and can be a bit of a sook if left on my own. I'm currently living with children, both young and older and they think I'm super sweet! I'm still learning my doggie manners though and still a little jumpy when excited, so I would probably be best with kids who are confident around dogs (especially because I'm going to grow up to be a medium to large dog when fully grown).
Food is super important to me, and I've already learnt to sit before I get my dinner and treats, so this will make me so much easier to train 😉 My foster mum says I'm doing well with toilet training too, but I haven't quite got it mastered yet, so will need my new family to continue on with this.
I guess I better mention my relationship with cats.....we are not friends. I'm super intrigued by them, but I can be a little over the top for them. For some reason, they don't like it when I bark at them, or follow them around the house and get in their face 😕
REALLY IMPORTANT!!!
My dad was a big boy, so I have the potential to be quite a large dog when fully grown! I'll need a confident owner who will commit to training me and socialising me with people and other dogs whilst I'm still young, so that I grow up to be a well mannered and socialised adult. I will also need a medium to large yard with height appropriate fencing and would not cope well in an apartment or unit (I'm way too active and need a yard to play in).
If you work full time, or if I was to be left on my own for long periods of time, I will NOT cope! I would LOVE an active doggie friend, but it could work if you work from home, or just part time. I just love company! 🐕👨👩👧👦
So....if you managed to read right through and still think I would be the perfect addition to your home and family, please send through a really great enquiry that will stand out! I'm booked in for desex on the 16th October and hoping to have my forever home chosen soon after that ❣️

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
