The story of Bay

Last Monday we where called out to an emergency situation where a cat had gotten herself in a boat, Tangled herself in fishing wire and the fish hook had gone through her leg. Cats in this situation tend to panic and make matters worse. We advised to try and cover the cat or leave the cat alone until we arrive.

On arrival we could see the cat trying to pull herself free but her leg was caught.
We carefully climbed aboard and contained her, she was worried about her situation and just needed calming to know she was in safe hands.
Thanks to the assistance of the Boat owner we where able to cut her free, wrap her up and secure her into a cat carry box.

Off to the vet we went.

The poor poppet had tried to remove the hook herself so you can imagine her mouth and lip damage, the wonderful team at Animal Medical Centre took us in right away and off she went to be sedated for the hook removal.

They removed the hook, and Desexed her at the same time. Little Miss has now the chance for a full recovery, and a new home.

As she is an unclaimed undesexed, not microchipped stray cat that's been with us for 6 days We have called her Bay and she's ready to now find her perfect home to start a new life away from fishing boats.

Bay has a very affectionate personality, she's young - approximately 10 months and very active, she still gets a little concerned with new things and changes but that's understandable and with a stable home life she will relax.
Bay isn't a huge fan of the other cats that are around her at the Adoption Centre so perhaps a home on her own will be ideal.
Oh and guess what? She loves to eat anything fishy - yep she's a seafood fan.

Come meet her this week and be hooked by her beauty - she's certainly a great catch.
