About Mia
**Please note we have reopened applications for Mia
Mia is a just turned 2 year old British Bulldog who is just a love bug! She has a huge smile and is not afraid to use it to brighten your day and let you know just how happy she is.
Mia must be an only dog - while currently she is showing her manners when walking near other dogs etc Mia is not keen on sharing her yard or her people - so Paw Prints Canine Rescue does require her to be an ONLY DOG (please don't apply if you have another dog or want to take Mia to a dog park for social outings etc - this is not something that Mia will be able to do).
Unfortunately Mia also is not good with cats or chooks either.
Mia can jump high (like a pogo stick) but has shown no signs of trying to jump fences or escape however we would be looking for 6 foot fences encase one day she realizes she could clear the fence if she desires.
But put her with her humans and she will show you more love and affection, and give you a lot of giggles that being an only pet will be worth it!
Mia loves to go for walks (weather / heat definitely permitting) and loves to play with a ball. She loves to be around her humans - she has grown up with kids and whilst she is very good with them (she does sometimes send them flying accidentally when she bumps them) she is a young energetic dog who can bounce around and do zoomies – don’t stand in her way lol
Mia is awesome with kids and loves nothing more than to hang out with them or a TV marathon on the couch
Her sass and cuddles will certainly make it worthwhile!
Mia is just one of those pocket rockets that is awesome to have around - she is no trouble walking, bathing, having a play with or a cuddle.
Mia is toilet trained but does require a dog door to access outside – she is still learning to tell her humans when she needs to go outside so without a dog door there could be accidents.
Some musts:-
Mia love to hang out with her humans and very much used to sleeping inside (remotes are made to turn the volume up to combat her snoring)
Being a bulldog they readily overheat and have breathing difficulties in hot weather, and they chill easily in cold temperatures so a home where there is air conditioning is a must.
While our little love bug is a happy girl she may take a few days to settle into her new home so we do ask that her new family / person be mindful of this and be able to work with her to be settled and comfy.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
