IMPORTANT NOTICE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR A DOG

We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS

Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -

* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms

If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.
If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.
Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.
We require you to acknowledge that you have read and agree with all statements before any potential meet and greet can proceed.

Requirements:
• A patient and loving home committed to ongoing training
• A home with a resident playful and puppy-tolerant Dog preferred

Aliha is a gentle , calm, intelligent and playful, pup.
She is very tuned into people and responsive to gentle guidance and discipline once you have her trust. She can take a little bit of time and patience to warm to new people, but once she gets to know you she will give you her whole heart. She is house trained but will need support with this in a new environment.

She is affectionate and a real people pleaser who tries hard not to put a foot wrong. Still learning about how long her legs really are this lanky lass often clumsily lands flat on her face! Aliha can walk perfectly well on a lead but often likes to stop and sniff the roses.

At 20 kg already, she is not a small dog but is a willing and attentive companion who is responsive to the light touch and gentle re-direction. Aliha is people oriented and is used to living with another dog .She is generally shyly curious about everyone and everything and would adapt well to most home environments. In her new home she would dearly love a sandpit to play in!
