About Teddy
Hi I’m Teddy , and I am a nearly 1 year old Toy Poodle
My foster family have said that I’m an awesome cuddle buddy who is happy to chill when it’s quiet time and I love to play when it’s play time!
I am happy to sit by yourself when it’s chill time, study time or tv time & then when I’m all energized up I can do zoomies that will make you laugh and laugh.
My foster mum says I am a constant source of cuddles & laughter – not much better in the world then that hey?
I came into care 5 months ago and Paw Prints had some serious surgery done on both my back legs I needed luxation patella surgery – it was a long road as my surgery had to be one leg at a time, & after my first surgery my foster mum discovered I was allergic to the tape that has to be used to help my leg – so that caused a bit more recovery time for me – but now I can run and play, & run upstairs & beg my foster mum standing on my back legs (!) for a treat.
I am a needy pants, not going to lie, I loooove human company. My ideal home will be someone who is at home working, or who can take me places with them as much as possible – I will sing my woes for a minute or two when you leave & I am working really hard on my do I make you feel guilty face when you come home. So pls bare in mind my foster mum will be looking for someone who wants to make me very much a part of their life.
I am awesome with all dogs (big & small) and once in a while cause I want to I will give a little growl to another dog if they want to take the toy off me – my foster mum says while it’s not nice to growl at others it’s just me saying I’m not in the mode to share.
I am currently in foster care with a cat – he does not like me, I do try & play with him from time to time, but it’s a definite no go from him – but I tell you what he has yummy biscuits so if they are within my reach I will gobble them up – just helping him, you know. – honest.
Speaking of gobbling I am not going to lie I love food (nearly as much as humans) & I am not shy in wanting to eat my body weight so my new mum or dad need to be mindful that I have eyes bigger than my tummy and need to be watched when it comes to dinner time – but a good thing is I don’t keep you waiting to clear my food – my story and I’m sticking to it!
Kids don’t bother me but that’s only cause usually I can get one to play with me – but I don’t want to be carried all the time - I mean I only go the full use of my back legs without being in pain since my surgeries so for me walking/running is like a gift.
I love to go for walks and especially to this place called ‘the coffee shop’ there I get a puppuccino and pats! Oh the amount of pats I get – never plan on taking me for a quick walk cause I love the attention – people are always stopping my foster mum & saying how gorgeous I am & I love the attention, I like to take my time walking & sniffing things that are interesting – it’s a real social outing for me!
My foster mum says I am also what you call a collector - I love to collect things (socks, undies, toys, keys) you name it, I can collect it but cause I’m a good boy I will put it all in one spot so you will know where to come and find it!
I sleep with my mum on her bed and that is something that my foster mum will make sure is part of the deal – I like to cuddle at night – nice and close! I am toilet trained
I have a coat that does require grooming. I have already had a couple of professional grooms which didn’t faze me at all. The groomer did tell my foster mum that I need to continue going to a groomer so that my coat stays looking good & not matted so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Sunday 11th October 2020 at 5.30pm

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
