About Athena
INDOORS ONLY
Meet our incredibly stunning ragdoll x girl Athena who is approximately 1 year old. She is a gentle, sweet and sensitive young girl. Athena is desexed, microchipped, had her vaccinations and is parasite treated.
Gorgeous Athena came into care with her 3 babies Ernie, Morty and Freya when they were 3 weeks old from a cat colony in Port Adelaide several months ago. She was a wonderfully caring and loving Mumma cat. Initially she was extremely protective of her babies and we were unable to touch her. We have a few scars to forever remember that time lol.
Athena's babies Ernie and Morty found their forever homes when they were 10 weeks old. Freya underwent surgery at 5 weeks old. But sadly it wasn't successful and despite our best efforts she was given her angel wings when she was 3 months old.
We have been spending a great deal of time with Athena over the past few months to teach her that she can trust us. We initially gave her some space and slowly built up a rapport with her. She hasn't looked back since and loves her foster humans. So please be aware it will take time, patience and understanding for her to settle into her new home, learn to trust you and know that she is safe. But it will be worth it for this amazing girl to be your new best friend. Please do not apply for her solely based on looks.
Athena is honestly an absolutely delightful cat that is very affectionate, sweet, loving, friendly and a happy girl. She loves scratches, cuddles and rubs against your legs! Athena has been around other cats, dogs and children. She adores her humans, trotting around the home after you and jumps up next to you when you sit down. Athena enjoys snoozing in a sunny window or in her warm cosy bed or yours! She loves to lay next to you and fall asleep. She just wants a family of her own to love.
Adoption details
All of our animals are placed into foster care in a family type environment, which allows them to be exposed to various environmental factors such as cats, dogs, children, visitors, noises etc.
All of our animals have a health assessment. They are desexed, microchipped, receive their 1st F4 vaccination or C4 vaccination and have parasite treatment prior to going to their new homes. Once ready for adoption we look to find our fosters the most suitable home environment depending on their personalities and needs.
