About Gizmo
Gizmo is a super sweet, friendly boy.
He loves his food (typical Labrador) loves his people and loves to play!
He is crate trained and is more than happy to curl up in his crate and snooze the night away.
Gizmo loves to play with other friendly dogs who have the patience to put up with a puppy.
He is learning to walk on lead but he does tend to cris cross
in front of you a bit. This will come down to training, which we would highly encourage any potential adopter to participate in with Gizmo. The socialisation of training classes would be great for him as he learns to become a well behaved, well adjusted adult dog.
Medical notes
Gizmo was born with a cleft palate and was tube fed until he was old enough to eat solids. He was able to eat well from around 6 weeks old but we did give him a go slow bowl as he ate very fast.
Having the cleft meant some of his food would go through the holes in the roof of his mouth and get stuck and would also cause him to sneeze when eating.
Gizmo underwent surgery at the beginning of the week to repair his mouth and his healing is well underway. Once completely healed he will be able to eat dry food again as well as his wet food/meat that he has been eating.
Expected healing time is around 14 days and his surgery was 29/09/20 so he won’t be available to go to his new home until he has been rechecked by the vet and given the all clear.
I will arrange for potential adopters to meet him on Sunday 11/10/20 at my home in Warragul via specific appointment times.

We only have 1 puppy available and understand people will be disappointed, but please don’t give up looking for a rescue dog!
