About Eva and Jett
*In foster care in Dulwich Hill, Sydney*
Elegant Eva (female/born 2014) and jolly Jett (male/born 2015) are a cutesome twosome looking for an amazing home where they can settle into their middle years and live happily ever after!
The gregarious one of the pair, Jett is one the most social cats his foster carer has come across. He adores attention, is very chatty when he feels like it, not to mention his love of kitty head-butts with his foster carer. Food fascinates him - he loves to watch his humans eat and will often try to sneak a sniff or even a nibble! This handsome lad has lots of affection, sleeps on the bed and even watches his foster carers partner while he sleeps. He loves cuddles under the blankets, as well as being picked up, sitting on chests and lets his foster carer rest her head on him like a pillow. While much more of a 'people cat' than Eva, he's able to keep himself entertained with a rubber band, and counts snoozing the hours away in the sun among his very favourite things :)
Eva is a curious and independent lady. She likes to hang around the humans, but is more observant than Jett. For the first 2 weeks in care, her current foster carer could tell she wanted to be social, but was just anti-touch at first. However after 2 weeks Eva has been jumping on the bed every night demanding a full 20 minutes of ear skritches and pats, in her cute little chirpy voice! This previously misunderstood lady is a sweety at heart, she is just cautious at first but once she knows you can give good skritches - she is all yours! In true cat style, trust must be earnt with Eva, but once you're in the exclusive club, you will feel like the luckiest human alive! She's also playful and LOVES a good piece of string! Spending time playing games with her appears to be a good way to gain her trust and develop a bond.
Like all Maggie's pets, Eva and Jett are microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

OUR IDEAL HOME: As a bonded pair of indoor cats, we need a big-hearted home where our distinct personalities will be appreciated and supported. We're very different, but equally wonderful! A quiet, patient and relaxed household without too many new people coming or going would be best for us. ('Keep the pats coming, though! ' - Jett). We are doing really well in our foster carers large 1 bedroom apartment but slightly larger homes would also be suitable, however we would need to be confined to 1 room for the first week to settle in to our new environment, otherwise we become overstimulated and scared which squashes our true personalities (please note that this can be your bedroom if you have a 1 bedroom apartment). Our first foster home was a large house with multiple rooms and this was a bit too scary for us - we didn't feel safe and subsequently hid much of the time, especially when strangers came over. But in our smaller foster home, I (Jett) love being around and petted by our guests. My sister (Eva) still checked out our guests, but no petting was allowed.
OUR ENERGY LEVEL: Nothing out of the ordinary! We usually sleep for most of the day, with bouts of playtime in the mornings and evenings.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: We will flourish and thrive in a child-free home.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: We haven't met any other pets since coming into foster care, and ideally we'd be the only pets in the home.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
