Adelaide is the sweetest lass around and she loves all people. She is seeking a home where her family can help her build her confidence, as she is quite nervous of the world still.
Adelaide adores giving hugs, playing with toys and will happily throw a toy for herself to chase. She can take a while to feel safe around other dogs, but when she does she will zoom and wrestle for as long as she can, displaying the common heeler trait of leg nipping to play.
Her initial reaction at the moment is to curl her lip, growl, cower or pace when an unfamiliar dog gets too close. This is improving the more positive interactions she has BUT she needs to continue learning, and have a savvy owner to help her. She turns into a playful banana once she lets her guard down and will entice them into a game of chasey.
Her interest in cats is borderline obsessive, she is simultaneously over curious yet scared. A home without cats will have her feel more settled.
Whilst Adelaide is still learning not to jump she would be ok around dog savvy children aged 7+. Given her timid nature a busy and loud home will not suit her.
Training is a breeze with this golden soul, she is reward motivated and a quick learner. She thrives with company and has been known to "help with the gardening", redecorate her bed and sing for the locals if left unstimulated, so company and 24/7 access to inside and outside is a must.
