About Buddha
Buddha hasn’t had the easiest start to life, when Buddha first came into our care he was battered and bruised with his carer finding a large abscess on his back. Buddha received emergency surgery and has since recovered and is ready to live his life as a domesticated cat.
Are you a confident cat owner with a quiet home and have a lot of love to give and receive? Buddha is a huge smooch once you gain his trust. He loves to sun bake in the window, perch on his tower and have a good old scratch. He will also sing out to you if he would like your attention. Buddha is still settling into life with people and will need an owner who will go at his pace.
Buddha’s carer has worked very hard to bring him out of his shell. He came to her as a very scared undomesticated male who now snuggles with her going as far as giving head bops too. He hasn’t quite let her pick him up yet, but she is being persistent and slowly cradling him in the hopes that he will relax into allowing her to pick him up.
Name: Buddha
Age: 1.5 years old
Suburb: Brabham
Adoption Fee: $100
Buddha’s adoption fee includes sterilisation, microchip, up to date vaccination, health check and treatment for parasites.
Medical Note: Buddha has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can potentially affect his immune system. FIV+ cats can still live a long and healthy life, however they do need to be kept indoors to prevent the spread of disease, which is passed most commonly through deep bite wounds. FIV+ cats can live comfortably with other cats, even those who do not have FIV, however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.
