I AM CURRENTLY LOCATED IN PERTH.
I am Mac. My friends call me Big Mac! I am an adorable, super-sized goofball! I am 4 years old but still act very playfully like a puppy. I'm a really happy guy and I'm so excited to have all these new experiences in the big wide world. It appears that I missed out on puppy socialisation in my early years. So think that's why I am so excited about EVERYTHING now!! I am making up for lost time. I do need help to keep a lid on my level of excitement, especially on walks when I see other dogs and want to say hi. I wag my tail like crazy and if they come close I try to jump on them like an excited puppy because I want to play, but apparently this is bad manners and I have to learn to chill. I could go to a home with a calm dog who would be a good role model for me, or I could be the only dog. Cats and other small animals are a no-go for me as I like to chase them.
I love all people including children. I don't jump on people but little kids might get whacked with my wagging tail so you would have to be understanding about that, sorry!( think older children would be better) I'm pretty desperate to be loved and just want to be close to my humans and get all the belly rubs and cuddles that I can. I will sit on your lap on the couch if you let me. I would be happy living with a family or a couple or single person, I don't mind as long as I am included and adored.
I would do best with a kind but firm human as my pack leader. I need clear and consistent boundaries to learn the rules. For example, if you don't want me to jump on your bed, you must tell me to get down every time until I learn. A calm and confident human as my pack leader will help me to feel secure and settle down. I really just want to find a lasting home and feel secure and loved, then I can finally relax. I am toilet trained (can use a dog door) and non-destructive when left alone when my humans go out. I really like to please my humans and I can already sit and shake on command. I love when you throw my teddies in the backyard and I will run and round them all up and take them back inside to my bed, then do it all again! I don't guard my food or my toys so you can take things out of my mouth if I shouldn't be eating it.
Everyone says I'm such a good boy and I deserve a wonderful home.
