About Roy
Handsome Greyhound boy Roy has settled into life as a house pet as if he was born to it! He is very affectionate, regularly coming up for kisses and chin rubs, and will follow you wherever you go. He's a bright boy and learns quickly, so training him should be a breeze. He eats at a sensible pace, walks well on the lead, and enjoys big zoomies around the yard. His foster sister has taught him how to play with toys, and his foster brother has taught him to enjoy a life of lying around doing nothing.
He's quite wary of new people, especially men, and isn't a fan of sudden movements and loud noises, but over time he figures out that he's safe and you'll protect him.
He will bark with the neighbour dogs, and at the neighbours having the audacity to walk down their back stairs (!) but is also learning that he doesn't need to alert you to every movement. He would definitely suit a home with a mummy and another dog, preferably a confident female, who can guide him and be his playmate. He is an absolute treasure and will make the right home very happy.
Ideally it would be wonderful for Roy to go with another Greyhound( female) this helps his confidence.
❤️Popcorn Chicken (as a treat - KFC)

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
