About Neve
This is Neve, a 14 month old Great Dane cross Mastiff looking for her forever home. She’s been in training and working on mastered her lose lead walking. Neve has been living with another big boy but recently has had a few disagreements and so we are looking for a home where she can be an only dog. She is going to need at least a full week with her new home before being left for a work day as she has not been left on her own before.
Neve is a clever girl, who loves to play with her toys, play fetch and go for walks. She likes to dig in the sand and is still a puppy despite being a very large dog already. Neve isn’t necessarily destructive but at only 14 months old, you would be leaving valuable items unattended with her at your own risk! Neve is toilet trained and like all Great Danes prefers to be inside with her people when they are inside. She has good manners inside the home for such a young dog and has learnt to go to her bed when asked.
Neve likes people and could do well in a home with teenagers but not small children. She likes meeting new people and being out and about. Neve has been working on her reactivity around other dogs. She’s made good progress but will need to continue with her training with a dedicated new owner. Off lead dog parks and dog beaches are not environments for Neve. She hasn’t had experience on large properties but she doesn’t appear to have any interest in jumping relatively low suburban fences so a rural property could be appropriate.
Cats are for chasing as far as Neve is concerned, so we will not place her in a home to do that! We assume she might have the same interest in other small animals. She’s not a super high energy girl but definitely needs to have her walk every day.
We are looking for an experienced big dog home to work with Neve and grow her into the good canine we know she can be citizen.
